In 1987 I was 14 years old.  I received a cassette tape of different bands from a friend.  This was my very first expierence with Thrash Metal.  Two songs stood out on this tape, the first song was "Deranged" from Exodus and the second was "Rest in Pain" from Holy Moses.  Coinsciedently these were the first two songs on the tape.  When Rest in Pain was done playing I was hooked. 

The intro for "Deranged" and the way that the fast part of "Rest In Pain" is sung I have always liked and I found a plethora of bands like them.  I was able to find Exodus pretty easily in Pittsburgh but Holy Moses was a bit harder.  It wasn't until THIS week that I was able to 1. find out the title to the Holy Moses song and 2. actually find it (hey what's 26 years?).  

I know this style of music isn't for everybody, but thought I'd share the two songs that are responsible for a very large part of my music collection.
